Steve Harvey is an American comedian and actor. He is best known as the host of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, a talk show that airs on the Fox Broadcasting Company. Harvey has also appeared in several television series, including The Office, Soul Food, and The New Adventures of Old Christine. He has released several comedy albums.

Born in 1957 in Welch, West Virginia, Harvey grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. After high school, he attended Kent State University before dropping out to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Harvey began performing at comedy clubs in the early 1980s, and by the early 1990s, he was appearing on television shows like Showtime at the Apollo and Star Search.


In 1995, Harvey landed his own sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show, which ran for six seasons. He also began hosting The Steve Harvey Morning Show, a syndicated radio program, in 2000.


In 2010, Harvey began hosting the game show Family Feud. He has since hosted several other game shows, including Celebrity Family Feud, Little Big Shots, and Steve Harvey's Funderdome.
